RDN Secretary General Visit to Brazil
Mrs. Parbati, Aagri BK, general secretary of Rastriya Dalit Network (RDN) Nepal is going to move for the Dedicated Grant Mechanism’s (DGM's) Nepal-Brazil Exchange Trip. She has Official visit schedule from 17th June, 2024 Monday - 21st June 2024 (Friday). She will travel one or two days ahead.
RDN Nepal has been working in the fields of Dalit rights, land rights and human rights in Nepal for the past 25 years through community mobilization, capacity building and policy advocacy. The innovative lessons learned from her visit to Brazil are expected to prove a milestone for the effective implementation of the organization's long-term strategy (2024-2030) and Dalit Rights Decade (2081-2090) along with the changing political, social, economic and environmental situation of Nepali society.
RDN is steering committee member of Dedicated Grant Mechanism (DGM) which has been strengthening its engagement with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities in Forests for Prosperity (FFP), REDD+/ REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation), etc. climate change oriented programs as well as livelihoods, land use, improvement, forestry Promotes comprehensive and effective sustainable forest management in their areas by securing the right to customary practices in management and increasing the income of forest-dependent communities in Madhesh and Lumbini provinces of Nepal.
